It Happens Here: Milton's New England Base Camp

CBS Boston (WBZ-TV) stopped by New England Base Camp as a part of their weekly “It Happens Here” series where they visit every town and city in the area.

Fun fact - Milton, MA is home to the Blue Hills Observatory which contains the oldest continuous weather record in the country! Milton is also where you will find our “hidden gem in the Blue Hills” at New England Base Camp.

Members of our Base Camp team welcomed CBS Boston to experience our programs first-hand which include archery, axe throwing, rock climbing, and much more!

“Pretty much everything under the sun. If it is an outdoor activity, we do it here,” Chuck Eaton, executive director, told WBZ-TV.

Owned by the Spirit of Adventure Council, New England Base Camp is open to the general public and aims to unlock the scouting curriculum for all kids. This means not only learning how to properly throw an axe, but also understanding the physics behind it all.

Families can experience all New England Base Camp has to offer at one low cost with our weekend day pass
