Ice Climbing

Come play on the ice!

Ever wondered how people climb mount Everest when it is covered with snow and ice year-round? Why are the tools shaped the way that they are? What happens if the ice breaks? How thick should it be to climb? How is the ice different on different points of the rock and why? At New England Base Camp, in the winter we turn Lookout Rock into an ice-covered masterpiece. Come test out ice climbing and begin to understand how those adventures do it day after day! This is a premier program and reservations must be done by calling 617-272-3501. Must be 13 and up to participate in this program.

2 week advance registration required. All registrations are pending until confirmed by instructor.
