Summer Day Camp in Greater Boston, South Shore, and Northeast Massachusetts

Join us for a summer of fun at New England Base Camp in Milton and at select satellite locations across Massachusetts.
All sessions are full-day (9 AM - 4 PM) running from Monday to Friday.

All CDC and state guidelines for COVID-19 are being followed in the operation of our day camps.

Day Camp for Ages 6-10

New England Base Camp offers a summer’s worth of adventures for youth ages 6-10!
Our outdoor day camp offers hands-on activities such as shooting sports, nature, STEM, athletics, and more.

Your adventures may keep you in the lab or take you into the field where investigations and experiments are taking place. Activities are individualized for each age group. Highlights include a standard program of shooting sports, nature, STEM, and athletics. All children benefit from going to camp from interacting with friends, to trying new things and pushing past personal boundaries. Children’s memories of summer experiences last a lifetime. Our camp program is designed for boys and girls going into grades 1-5 and invites the entire family outdoors.

  • Drop-off is from 8:30 - 9 AM and camp ends at 4 PM
  • Early Drop-Off (7:45 AM - 9 AM) can be added onto your camp registration for an additional $50 per week
  • Extended Day (4 PM - 6 PM) can be added onto your camp registration for an additional $50 per week
  • On-site health officer to ensure we meet or exceed all safety requirements and COVID protocols
  • Additional health forms and waivers will be sent 60 days in advance

Description:  Campers will experience a variety of High Adventure activities such as canoeing, high ropes, rock climbing, hiking and mountain biking. Five days, five different activities. High Adventure to the extreme!
  • Mountain Biking through the Blue Hills (Participants must have a bike suitable for all-terrain riding or rent one through a local bike shop)
  • Swimming at Houghton's Pond
  • Hiking Trek through the Blue Hills
  • High Ropes Course teamwork at Base Camp
  • Rock Climbing at the Quincy Quarries (Friday Capstone)
You will also get to have all of the fun of a traditional day camp with BBs, archery, camp wide games, and more! This camp's program includes a potential field trip. Details:

Description:  Day 1 of camp will get you ready for a week of water adventures! After safety procedures and paddle instruction, campers will test out their canoes in the pond. Tuesday through Friday campers will test their skills on a variety of local bodies of water with one overnight at Base Camp. The overnight date will be determined by weather and will be announced closer to the start of camp. The canoe trek will involve tenting, cooking and other camp activities!

Description:  What better way to learn climbing than... to climb? That's right, participants will be climbing and rappelling before lunch on day one! This program is great for adventurers interested in working on climbing skills. Starting with the fundamentals and a safety overview, participants will get a taste of bouldering, top-rope climbing, rappelling, and more. Train like a climber using rock-rings; relax like a climber with slack-lining and crate-stacking.

Description:  Spend the week using canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and more. Campers will spend four days on a variety of different waters located around Base Camp and the surrounding areas plus one day of activities at Base Camp.

NEBC Kayak Camp (8/9 - 8/13)

NEBC Kayak Camp (8/9 - 8/13)
Regular price $330.00

Description:  Day 1 of camp will get you ready for a week of kayaking adventures! After safety procedures and paddle instruction, campers will test out their kayak in the pond. Description:  Calling all aspiring rangers, conservationists, and wildlife enthusiasts! Join us for this special new week of summer camp where you’ll learn the basics of Wildlife Management while having lots of fun exploring the animals the live around us. During this hands-on week, campers will participate in enriching activities such as building and monitoring bird boxes, planning and constructing wildlife blinds, submitting reports to citizen science projects, researching locally endangered and threatened animals, setting up and monitoring trail cameras, and much more! We’ll wrap up our week with a possible visit (following the CDC guidelines of safety) to a local wildlife center to see the week’s topic in action. Finally, families will be welcomed at our closing ceremonies on Friday to see a culmination of their camper’s projects.

  • This day camp session runs from August 16th to August 20th
  • Drop-off is from 8:30 - 9 AM and camp ends at 4 PM
  • Early Drop-Off (7:45 AM - 9 AM) can be added onto your camp registration for an additional $50 per week
  • Extended Day (4 PM - 6 PM) can be added onto your camp registration for an additional $50 per week
  • On-site health officer to ensure we meet or exceed all safety requirements and COVID protocols
  • Additional health forms and waivers will be sent 60 days in advance

Description:  The primary purpose of the BSA Lifeguard training program is to provide professional lifeguards for BSA operated facilities, council aquatics committees, and year-round aquatics programming. In addition, this training is intended to meet the requirements of government agencies for operations at a regulated swimming venue. The program is open to all registered adults and youth, age 15 and older. BSA Lifeguard is recommended for aquatics staff lifeguard training and for those who wish to work as lifeguards for BSA year-round aquatics programs. For those supporting council aquatics committees, this training is the next step beyond the Aquatics Supervision program for unit leaders. Certification is good for 2 years. Cross over programs are available to become RED CROSS Lifeguards as well. Please note, this camp is excluded from the Adventure Card membership discount.

Description:  Campers will be having a week of fun at Haverhill Day Camp at Winnekenni Castle! Activities include science, cooking, swimming, scout skills, nature hikes and adventures, games and challenges. Cub Scouts have the opportunity to work on advancements. This camp's program includes a potential field trip.  There is so much FUN to be had at the Haverhill Youth Day Camp. Activities are individualized for each age group. Highlights include a standard program of shooting sports, nature, STEM, and athletics. All children benefit from going to camp from interacting with friends, to trying new things and pushing past personal boundaries. Children’s memories of summer experiences last a lifetime.
