Description: What could be more fun than a whole week of exploring the coolest local ponds and rivers in a big group? Canoeing Camp will see you and your team of buddies learn to tame a tandem boat with two or three mere paddles. On Day 1, we’ll learn safety procedures, proper paddling, and then spend the rest of the time exploring the pond nearby. The rest of the week, we’ll have at least two more trip opportunities to put our paddling skills to the test, on a variety of local bodies of water. On any given day, we could make time for some swimming to cool off, too! Finally, after one of our canoe treks, we have an opportunity to spend an overnight camping, either at or away-from the NEBC camping facility. No matter how remote our campsite ends up, we will have opportunities to tent, cook, and practice other camping skills! More info will follow as the summer approaches. Let’s get on the water!
