Description: Calling all aspiring rangers, conservationists, and wildlife enthusiasts! Join us for this special week of summer camp, where you’ll learn the basics of studying the way the natural world works, all while exploring dramatically different ecosystems that exist all around us! During this hands-on week, campers will participate in enriching activities such as building and monitoring habitats for living things, planning and constructing wildlife blinds, submitting reports to citizen science projects, researching locally-endangered and -threatened animals, setting up and checking trail cameras, and so much more! We’ll wrap our week with a possible visit (following CDC safety guidelines) to a local wildlife center to see the week’s topic in action! Finally, families will get a chance to see how we studied the natural world around us, whether through viewings of projects in-camp or some sort of shareable digital record. The world is truly our oyster in NECO Camp!
