Winter Camp: Winter Festival
Winter is here, and with it, a chance to either test our mettle against the harsh winter weather, or to stay warm and safe inside, picking up hobbies and skills to help pass the time until Spring. So then, why not both? This year at New England Base Camp, join us for a mix of the classic winter activities we have come to enjoy—sledding, skating, fire-building, and more—along with a focus on some cozy indoor activities too—arts and crafts, storytelling, boardgames, and community-building. By the end of the week, we will be ready to invite parents in for a Winter Festival of activities, presentations, and refreshments, capped off by a traditional program campfire full of skits, songs, and cheer!
For participants in Cub Scouts, the activities will be working towards several Activity Loops and Pins, including Tiger Bites, Howling at the Moon, Grin and Bear It, Art Explosions, Cast Iron Chef, and more! Parents will receive a list of the topics covered by the end of the week!
